The lore behind this spell book: The methods for summoning elder elementals have remained hidden in ancient tomes and lost to time for generations. Doing so requires particularly powerful and potentially suicidal sorcerers. However, the Encanto collection includes this very tome to summon the great Leviathan, whose mere existence ensures devastation. Inside you find the 9th level spell, Leviathan’s Call. After ripping the heart of the Eladrin in half, you call forth the legendary Leviathan from a nearby body of water. A wall of water up to 250 feet long, 250 feet high, and 50 feet thick immediately rushes to a point within range from the body of water. All creatures in that area must make a DC24 Strength saving through or take 6d10 bludgeoning damage, or half as much on a successful save. The gargantuan elemental, Leviathan, (found in Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes page 198) ignores you and acts on its own volition, destroying anything in its path. When the spell ends, the Leviathan returns to its spiritual home in the sea, but will attempt to take the caster with it. |
